Development of the Flex-PLI-GTR simulation model per UNECE-R127 standard

One of the crash scenarios that accounts for a great portion of casualties is the pedestrian crash. Due to the ever-increasing safety concerns, today’s vehicles should be designed to reduce pedestrian damage when an accident happens. Owing to the great capabilities of simulation models and numerical methods, crash scenarios are simulated numerically and analyzed easily. In this project, the finite element model of the flex pedestrian legformimpactor (Flex-PLI) is developed according to relevant standards for LS-DYNA solver and can help designers test their designs and modify them before a prototype is created.
