At the end of the production line of internal combustion engines, the quality control and fault diagnosis of engines is done using hot test systems. The hot test is conducted for both loaded and unloaded engines. Fault diagnosis and hot tests can be conducted both manually and automatically. To arrive at a consistent quality control procedure for all manufactured engines, hot testing of loaded engines with objective fault identification capabilities is very suitable. The purpose of this project is the design and manufacturing of a fully automated hot test system for IKCO engine families.
